DO TODAY

Cookies

Everything Do Today stores on your device, named individually. This is the binding version.

1. Who we are

Do Today is operated by We make AI work s.r.o., ID No. (IČO) 29697115, registered office Nové sady 988/2, Staré Brno, 602 00 Brno, Czech Republic, registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Regional Court in Brno, Section C, Insert 152497. Contact: service@dotoday.eu.

2. What we actually set

One cookie: `session`, set only when you log in. It holds a random token, nothing about you, is marked HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax so scripts and other sites cannot read it, and expires after 30 days or when you log out. Seven items in your browser's local storage, which never leave your device and are never sent to us: `vp_lang` (your interface language), `vp_country` (the country you last browsed), `dt_consent` (the choices you made below), `dt_view` (whether you last looked at the list or the map), `dt_map_town` (the town you centred the map on), `dt_map_km` (the radius you picked) and `dt_contrast` (whether you switched the high-contrast display on or off). That is the complete list.

3. What we do not do

No analytics cookies. No advertising cookies. No third-party trackers, tag managers, pixels or fingerprinting. We do not build a profile of you, we do not follow you to other sites, and we do not sell or share anything for anyone else's marketing. Our visitor counter is a single number per day per country, recorded on our own server without a cookie and without your IP address — it cannot be traced back to you. One thing does reach outside: open the map and your browser fetches map tiles from OpenStreetMap, so their servers see your IP address and which tiles you asked for, the same as any website you visit. They set no cookies for us, we send them nothing about you, and if you never open the map they are never contacted. The “near me” button asks your browser for your location — it stays on your device to centre the map and is never sent to us or to anyone else.

4. Partner links

Some event cards can show an accommodation link, and some ticket links go through a partner programme that pays us a commission. These set nothing on your device while you stay on our site — but the moment you click one you are on that company's website, where their cookies and their privacy policy apply. This is the one thing below you can switch off, and switching it off hides those links entirely.

5. Your choices

The essential cookie cannot be switched off, because without it logging in is impossible — that is the only reason it exists. Everything else is optional and starts switched OFF; nothing optional is enabled until you say so. Declining everything is a normal, complete way to use Do Today: the calendar, search, filters, languages and your account all work exactly the same. What you lose is the accommodation and partner links. To be straight with you: declining does not make your account data disappear — if you have registered, we still hold your email, your favourites and any calendar email you chose, because that is what running an account requires. The Privacy page covers that, and you can have it deleted at any time.

6. Browser controls and contact

You can also clear or block all of this in your browser settings — clearing site data logs you out and resets your language and consent choices, and nothing breaks permanently. Questions about any of this: service@dotoday.eu.
